All the thoughts and opinions in this post are my own, resulted from my experience with weight loss last summer.

Part 1. How to start weight loss.

Last summer I tried and lost 10 kilos. (Was very happy about, but then gained 5 kilos back ahhhhhh and I‘ wprking now how to get rid of them) With that experience I wanna share with you some tips, not how to loose weight, but how to start weight loss agenda at all. You know, the first pancake shouldn’t be lumpy. That means, as effectively you start your weight loss programme as best result you get at the end. I decided not to speak in „Steps“ like evryone does as it comes to give tips, but ask you questions, you should answer for yourselves.

I’ll try to make it short, so not to make you bored.
Question 1: Do you really need to lose weight?

Please, before starting that all circus, ask yourself. is it really necessary or you can live with it? Make measurements of your height to weight relation, look at yourself in the mirror. How much did you weight in the past few years? What was always your best weight? Maybe you’re at your best weight right now?

Another important question is: maybe it’s harmful for your health. Some people gain weight because of their genetics, some because of diseases and so on. Check your health and speak with an nutrition expert or a doctor.

Question 2: what is the reason you gain weight?

I mentioned above weight gain through health problems, but if you’re healthy enough, ask yourself: why do you get thicker? What is the real reason: fat, sweet and floury food, no sport, unhealthy lifestyle, stress? For each of these problems you need different solutions. If you won’t check your behaviour on all this, you can get false solutions and do more harm than solve the problem.

Question 3: find out and make a note how much weight you need to loose?

This is important, because for a person who weighs , for example, 65 kilos and need to loose 10 kilos, it is important to stop by that result. You know, people who struggle with high weight and desperately try to get rid of it for years, if they come to the wishful result, there’s a fear they won’t stop, get extremely thin and develop bulimia. Consult a nutritionist, what is your best weight, NOT FOR YOU!, but FOR YOUR BODY! Don’t overload your body! First at all think of your health, because loosing excessive weight is getting a healthier body and not a skeleton.

Question 4: which is the BEST WAY for YOU to loose weight?

OK, you decided you need to loose weight, then ask yourself. what is the best method to do this? Nowadays, there’re a lot of ways to get thinner:

  • diet
  • sport
  • pills and other dietary supplements
  • liposuction and so on.

Each of them has its benefits and drawbacks. Decide, which is the best method specially for you and don’t forget the risks, because at the end you and only you alone are responsible for the results of your decisions.

Part 2. Assumption: you need a diet
Question 5: is the food  your thickmaker? do you need a diet?

Let’s assume you get thicker from food

  • study about dietary food and eating habits
  • then analyse your regular food and eating habits, are there thickmakers among
  • choose what would you eat during your diet
Question 6: if you need a diet, isn’t it the best to have a plan before?

To avoid mess it is always better to have a plan or even better – many plans.

  • make a plan for the period of your diet: the date of start and the date of the finish. As I menthioned above, don’t overload your body, don’t exhaust your health.
  • make a weekly food plan, choose food and dishes you need. Create your own menu.
Question 7: are you ready?

Ask yourself, are you really ready to start weight loss, diet etc? Are you mentally and physically ready to go through this? Are there any disturbing factors like your family, your work, private habits, lack of money etc.

Notice, that for every project, every plan you’re working on, you need discipline to achieve the best results. This is your body, these are your decisions, this is your life. Nobody owes you everything. You and only you are responsible for every decision you take.

Are you ready?  If not – don’t even start!
