Passover is in two weeks, and as a jewish girl I was facing with every-years pre-passover question:
which cosmetic products should I use?
or to be more exactly:
where to find passover suitable cosmetics?
If you’re jewish, you know that on passover your place must be hametz-free, but even in cosmetics you can find a lot of ingredients based on hametz or derivatives. So it is definitely better to study your beauty lovelies and put them aside or sell for passover time.
However, if the hametz is not edible for human and even a dog (in cosmetics), it’s not prohibited to use such a product on passover.

Below is a list of ingredients to avoid during passover in cosmetics:
Alcohol (if derived from wheat, however denaturated alcohol is allowed)
Amino-Peptide Complex,
Aveena Sativa
Barley Extract,
Disodium Wheatgerm Extract
Disodium Wheatgerm Amino Peg-2 Sulfosuccinate
Hordeum Vulgare,
Hydrolised Wheat Protein
Hydrolised Wheat Gluten
Hydrolised Wheat Starch
Lauryl Lysine
Lauryl derivatives
Maltodextrin
Oat Beta Glucan
Oat Extract
Oat Flour
Perfume/Fragrance (if derived from wheat etc.)
Phytophingosine Extract
Sodium Lauryl Oat Amino Acids
Sorbitan Derivatives
Triticum Vulgare
Tocopherol (Vitamin E)
Wheat Amino Acids
Wheat Bran Extract
Wheat Protein
Wheatgerm Oil
I spent a lot of time to find hametz-free cosmetics online and offline, The most problem I had, was to find perfume-free and alcohol-free items. The manufacturers put them everwhere and you can never find out; is it know corn-derived alcohol or fragrance? what its source, finally?
(At the moment I live in Germany, so you can see German descriptions on the pics).

I wish you all a kosher and hametz-free passover!
